GBF-INC: Senior Quality Assurance Director March 2010-Present Implemented an effective Quality Management System in a Medical Devices Manufacturing company according to Part 820 of FDA requirements and in accordance with ISO 13485 standard. Leader of the Quality Control team (7 members). Leader of the improvement team and CAPA resolution. 100% customer acceptance in external audits. The QMS implementation included process optimization that helped obtain several new customers and increase the company\'s revenue in several million dollars a year. Processes are monitored, in control and optimized, resulting in a decrease of 80% in customer complaints, 60% decrease in quality issues, up to a 50% increase in line productivity. Supplier quality engineer: on-site control of suppliers and external auditor to critical suppliers. ; Independent Senior Quality Consultant August 2001-July 2009 Self-owned Senior Quality and Process Improvement Consultancy Company. Services provided included Implementation of QMS, Processes and product monitoring and continuous improvement, technical and management support, effectiveness and efficiency improvement, process monitoring, troubleshooting and root cause analysis for the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, lowering costs, and increase productivity as well as improvement/assurance of the quality of the product. Internal Auditor and counterpart in External Audits to obtain ISO 9001 certification. Training of people implicated in processes at all levels, from Management to lower operative positions (training to audiences of more than 150 persons were given). ; Some companies that received the provided service are:; Newport Freight Forwarder: leader and most important Freight Forwarder considering air transportation of goods; 50% increase in the net revenue in 2 departments, 70% decrease in operation errors, 100% decrease in customer complaints.; Colegio Seminario (Seminary School): Educational Institution: Elementary, Middle and High School, largest private school in the country (400 teachers and employees, more than 2000 students); developed an integral processes assessment and a QMS in which more than 1000 persons were involved. First school that certified its QMA according to ISO 9001 standard.; Industrial Laboratory Montevideo: Industrial Laboratory dedicated to the provision of quantitative and qualitative physical-chemical and microbiological analysis, and technical advice; Implemented and certified a QMS, led improvement groups which resulted in a 40% sales increase and a 50% decrease in customer complaints.; Summa Consultants: Consulting services in Quality Management, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Logistics. Developed new product: aerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment tanks.; Italcolor SA: Manager of Quality Control Laboratory July 1997-February 1998 Chemical Industry that produced vinyl and vinyl maleic resins for CASCO (ELMER); processes involved use of chemical batch anchor reactors, boiler, service water treatment, distiller of formalin, and coolers. ; Chemical Analyst responsible for quality control laboratory: analysis/control of raw materials, intermediate and finished products, effluents/wastewater treatment and sewage service, sampling for inspection. Provided assistance to the Quality Manager, and Production Manager in Production Control.;
